Declan Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 What does the website display anyway? Someone describe it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A load of ads and a sign saying "your shockwave greeting will load soon".
thebees Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Declan - you should get broadband. Except its hardly worth it for a pile of dancing frogs. I'm not actually sure why FCMR dedicated that shock thing to Ans...strange.. I'm glad you took the nasty link out mods. I went to one the other day. I still hope it wasnt real.
Declan Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Was it G**tsie? If so FCMR is Monkey_Magic and I claim my ten pounds.
Old George Woods Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Where's Old George Woods when you need him? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I’m busy with the haymaking. I spent a day sharpening the triangular blades with my carborundum and started yesterday. Bit of a problem switching from petrol to paraffin, but that always happens. It’s guaranteed that within a day, the blade will catch a stone and break it, and a trip to Corlett Sons and Cowley will be needed before the week is out. Of course you have to leave a turning corner at the headland, when you lift the blade, do half a figure of eight and come back onto a new row. in that area all the weeds grow. Every field has four corners where the docks, nettles, cushag and some beautiful weeds grow. And at the end of the day, "Bamford" is pressed into your backside from the seat. My old Allis Chalmers, ideal for mowing, had a governor on, which slowed it down a bit. I learned how to disable it in 1956, and I found that I could get the mowing done much quicker without the interference of a moderator. It made me so much happier when I could get on with my life and work without worrying about the moderators. Once this rain stops, I will let you know about turning the hay, then raking it up and how I intend to cart it back and make it into a stack. As long as nothing comes along to interfere with what I want to do…..
