Gilly G. Ossenfeffer Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I have almost finished this book and it is fantastic. Well written and utterly fascinating. It starts with early settlements dug up at Ronaldsway and comes up to date. I would just love someone to make a movie out of this book - it's epic! Anyway, if you have any interest in Castletown do get yourself a copy - it's a great read. http://www.amazon.co...35353944&sr=8-1 Hardcover: 200 pages Publisher: Lily Publications (5 Aug 2010) Language English ISBN-10: 1899602399 ISBN-13: 978-1899602391 Definitely will get more of his books on Mann http://www.amazon.co...=ntt_dp_epwbk_0
JumpUp Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Oh wow Jilly the book is so divine! As soon as I saw your comments about it I had to rush out to get it. I agree with making it a film though, shall we contact our local MHK's for funding? I would love to hear some more recommendations from you!
ScotsAlan Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I clicked on the link. And requested a kindle version. Oh... I wonder if "Manx Murders" is on Kindle yet? I need to check that. Edit to add. Yes it is . I just bought it and I have it within seconds. I look forward to reading it again.
Gilly G. Ossenfeffer Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 I read Manx Murders recently and it was very interesting. The kids round here used to refer to "Murder Lane" and it wasn't until I read this book that I found out why. Enjoy your read!
ScotsAlan Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Yup Gilly. A friend gave me a loan of a copy a few years ago. And as I sat in the bath one Sunday afternoon I got a funny feeling...... yes, the house I was in matched the description and location of one of the crime scenes

It has been explained to me that there is a lot more to that one than was told. It is kind of hinted at in the book.
