Profile Of Castletown By Derek Winterbottom

I have almost finished this book and it is fantastic. Well written and utterly fascinating. It starts with early settlements dug up at Ronaldsway and comes up to date. I would just love someone to make a movie out of this book - it's epic! Anyway, if you have any interest in Castletown do get yourself a copy - it's a great read.

Oh wow Jilly the book is so divine! As soon as I saw your comments about it I had to rush out to get it. I agree with making it a film though, shall we contact our local MHK's for funding? I would love to hear some more recommendations from you!

Yup Gilly. A friend gave me a loan of a copy a few years ago. And as I sat in the bath one Sunday afternoon I got a funny feeling...... yes, the house I was in matched the description and location of one of the crime scenesw00t.gif

I read Manx Murders recently and it was very interesting. The kids round here used to refer to "Murder Lane" and it wasn't until I read this book that I found out why. Enjoy your read!

It has been explained to me that there is a lot more to that one than was told. It is kind of hinted at in the book.
