Pierrot Lunaire Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 people marvelled at Tanner's serve speed which was up to 100 MPH. Nah. A little faster than that.
credente Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 The British player of the 1960s, Mike Sangster, had his serve recorded at 154 mph - the current record is Roddick at 155 mph.
dave1978 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 To be fair, Serena Williams and her brother 'Ive got a penis' Williams ought to be competing in the mens.
Lisenchuk Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Or ever really. Fred Perry won more granted but it's prety hard to compare. He still has his designer clothing range The 'Dead Fred' range.
Lisenchuk Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 To be fair, Serena Williams and her brother 'Ive got a penis' Williams ought to be competing in the mens. To be fair it depends on where you set the cut of point for small penis vs large clitoris
Pierrot Lunaire Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Well! Perhaps another major tomorrow morning! On a proper telly channel to boot! Set your alarms - it's not too early....... ; ))
Pierrot Lunaire Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 Oh well, not this time...... ; ( ! Good start and match though.
woolley Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Yes, but the Fred Perry video is slowed to a tenth of the speed so you can see him.
thommo2010 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Its a shame for Murray that he is playing in an era containing quite possible 3 of the greatest players to have ever lived in Djokovic, Federer and Nadal
Lxxx Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Its a shame for Murray that he is playing in an era containing quite possible 3 of the greatest players to have ever lived in Djokovic, Federer and Nadal Or a blessing to those who can't stand the arrogant weasel.

Haven't really thought of him as arrogant maybe a little moody with the press but that is no surprise as the press are twats and should be treated with contempt
wrighty Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Its a shame for Murray that he is playing in an era containing quite possible 3 of the greatest players to have ever lived in Djokovic, Federer and Nadal That's one way of looking at it. Another is that he must be really good to be getting even a small slice of the pie when he's up against those three. I'm sure if the situation was reversed and he was winning everything in sight, no doubt the press would be moaning about the lack of competition and saying how it's a pity he was never tested properly by the likes of a Borg or a McEnroe. Fancy him for Wimbledon this year. Anyone know if the odds are any good?
ACLDM Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I don't think he's arrogant - I think he's showing the will to win that people before him (Tim Henham etc) never did, and were roundly criticised for. And he is British, Lonan - just as our those of us born in the Isle of Man are too. When will people ever learn the difference between British and English?
Mission Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I beg to differ Lonan. I'll happily support Murray, win or lose regardless of him being Scottish. The football makes me laugh the most - all these Manxies happily following premiership clubs and then as soon as any European or World tournament comes along, all the anti English bile comes out. Sttick to following Ayre United or Foxdale please.

Which of the dozens of other countries represented would you like us to support ?. I enjoy watching Brazil, but they don't stuff their arrogance down my throat. By the way how many 'Englishmen' are in the Cricket Test Team. The English grab at anything to call their own when there is a chance of success, [Memories of the Empire] always have done. Mark Cavensish is MANX by the way, and also British [ lives in the British Isles] One thing he is not, is English
