the mo beats experience Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 I'm sick of 'em! anyone know any handy hints and tips as to getting rid quick, or trying to keep them at bay? i find the creams that are supposed to stop them coming if used as soon as you feel "the tingle" just delay the inevitable!
Educa Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Sovarix really does work. Well you cant stop them, but you can speed up the heeling and keep them small.
manxbird Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 What about mouth ulcers? Any tips for getting rid of them? I know I must be run down .............
Educa Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 years ago there used to be this purple liquid "gentian violet" worked a treat - instantly cleared mouth ulcers but they took it off the market cos it is cancer causing (carceogenic - if that how it is spelt!!) nothing else worked - except yep you are probably run down if you keep getting them
Tee Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 isn't there a mouth wash that helps with that prob? also for gingervitus ect......
Stavros Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 isn't there a mouth wash that helps with that prob? also for gingervitus ect...... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gingivitis, bleeding gums! gingervitus (alergic to ginger hair?) PMSL! Stav.
WilDDog Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 I don't suffer from cold sores but if I get the slightest hint of one, Zovirax is what I reach for.. I do suffer from the odd mouth ulcer from time to time and find bonjela is excellent and it tastes nice, which is a plus.
The Old Git Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 What about mouth ulcers? Any tips for getting rid of them? I know I must be run down ............. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Something like Corsadil (spelling?) cream or mouthwash works for me. It might also be worth trying to see if there's a connection between what you eat and the ulcers. Tomatos and orange juice both set mine off
Ean Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Frador works on mouth ulcers, stings like bitch but it works!

Minnie Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 A website dedicated to sufferers of mouth ulcers! There's some weird and wonderful things people have tried according to the treatment survey! http://mouthulcers.org/index.html

Cret Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Don't think I've had a coldsore for maybe 15 years or so. Not sure why I don't get them. Mouth ulcers though respond really well the jabbing shards of salt & vinegar flavour crisps into them I think....
