MickyBlue Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 In case anyone is interested, the monthly 'interesting vehicle' meet at the motor museum is this coming Sunday at 10am. Apparently, irrespective of how it's publicized, it's aimed at all enthusiasts not just classics - and not just those who own such a vehicle. Subject to the weather (and that is a big caveat!) and the car agreeing start, I'm planning on going up for a nosey and a coffee - it would be good to see some other MF petrol heads there. Mission Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I'll be there - shmee150 (internet dude that's big into his cars) will be over filming there apparently - should be a good morning! Quote
Mission Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 If you do make it, what car should I be looking out for Micky? We really do need to come up with an MF signal or greeting. Quote
quilp Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 We really do need to come up with an MF signal or greeting. Will this do ...? Quote

The forecast is looking cr*p so it's a long-shot. It's a red one which isn't used to our tropical climate! Micky Quote
Overdose Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I'll be dropping by with my daughter for a quick look seems as we only live a few miles down the road, be interesting to see what turns up. I'll keep an eye open for you Mish and any red cars that look out of place.... 1 Quote
hillshepherd Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Are there any sixties petrolheads around? Quote

Overdose Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Are there any sixties petrolheads around? As in age or car era? Quote
Mission Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I read it as in 1960's era, it would be a bit specific to be a 60 something's car club (although I guess a lot of the classic car mob could very well fall within that age range, but probably not so many with 80's and 90's classics (unless they're reliving their mid life crisis all over again). In other news, shmee is on the boat, so that's definitely happening tomorrow. Quote
doc.fixit Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Well done the folks who showed up, utterly crap when I had a look. Didn't get out of the car though.Loved the Rover 3.5 and the MGA. Quote
Mission Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Bit wild up there, was fun trying to stand still enough to get some snaps - got the money shot though Not a bad turnout really, supercars and retro cars and a half decent number of people inside as well. The breakfast was lovely too. Din't spot Overdose there and don't know what you look like doc. Not sure if Micky was thee or not as there was the little red MG as you say, along with the red Rover (but I believe the guy that owns the Rover is called Steve). Despite the crappy weather it was a great morning out, I'm £50 poorer now though. Quote
doc.fixit Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Sorento 3.5 v6 ! The Rover wasn't red was it? I know I'm old and not very well but I'm pretty sure about the colour. Quote
Mission Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Looks red to me, not as red as the Ferrari F430 but still red. it was a 2600s and apparently its original, not restored. Quote
