My other thought on this is have you seen the state of the roads in the evening in Douglas with the people trying to leave. If you displaced the business outside of Douglas you would simply have this congestion in the mornings but going in the other direction!!

And its not like the Quarterbridge is confusing enough to most Manx drivers....ermmm...give way from the left isnt it!! Not forgetting the straight on rule...if I'm going striaght on yessir I dont have to give way to anyone!!

 

And whats with those bollards seperating the flows of traffic there....if people cant keep in lane then they deserve to get their cars dented...all it means is that you cant see the oncoming traffic if you come Peel Road direction.
