Barlow Strada Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 his arrogance lost england two world ĉups.
Gizo Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 his arrogance lost england two world ĉups. When was that? The last time and only time they had a chance of winning was 1966 which incidentally they cheated to win that.
notwell Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 his arrogance lost england two world ĉups. Stop being silly. The only things that cost England a world cup during Beckhams time was poor management and probably a lack of real quality in certain positions

notwell Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Beckham shouldn't have skipped the challenge that led to the goal before half time but that isn't the reason they went out. Seaman was beaten from an area he shouldn't have been. More importantly when the team needed a manager to pick them up at half time, drive them on, make changes in the game, Eriksson couldn't do it. That was a feature of his reign . He wasn't good enough to manage a very talented set of players.
the stinking enigma Posted February 8, 2017 Author Posted February 8, 2017 Or even england at that time
P.K. Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Beckham shouldn't have skipped the challenge that led to the goal before half time but that isn't the reason they went out. Beckham ALWAYS ducked actually challenging anyone. The opposition all knew that all they had to do was run at him and rather than tackle them he would just fall back trying to keep goalside. I think "vastly overrated" is a lot on the generous side...
the stinking enigma Posted February 8, 2017 Author Posted February 8, 2017 I'm almost certain jeeves has or has had a signed photograph of becks hanging on his wall at some point in time if not still now

He could have walked into most sides in europe between 99 and 2002.

If you think Real bought him for his footballing ability, dream on.
Gizo Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Anyway, back on topic. Any mention of Rebecca Loos in these emails?

I would say he was plenty capable when he went there but the three or four seasons prior at United he was an important part of the best midfield in Europe. He was superb for that time period.
