Are you sure you'll need to stay overnight? It's not a bad drive from Liverpool. Anyway, enjoy Falmouth - only a few miles from me.
Tarne Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 I'd recommend having a kip and food on the boat and just driving straight through. It's about 7 hours I think, when you take into account stopping for coffee and fuel. Failing that, there really is tons of places to kip along the way, it just depends on when you get tired. Lovely area, not many "of those sorts" down there.

Cheers but I will need a nice break and kip ,I'm in no rush and have allowed for it I shall try Google, just wondered if anyone used any motels on this route to be reccomended.
La Colombe Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 I know a few nice places to stay down that way but going on your MF content I'd be worried you might trash your room or something so I'm keeping out of this one.
guzzi Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 There's a Premier Inn or Days Inn at almost every motorway intersection or services these days. Quick Google, take your pick.
piebaps Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Gloucester is a nice place to stop. Premier Inn at Longton and a short walk into city centre
emesde Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 There is a modern Travelodge right next to Gloucester Docks (now an attractive waterside tourist area) . Parking in the multi storey adjoining it. along with modern shopping mall . I0 minutes walk to cathedral and city centre and usually a room is less than £40.
woody2 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 drowitch is a nice spa town just after birmingham, stay in the town with a few nice restaurants and nice place for a wander about just off the m5 you can sometimes get good rates at the chateau impney hotel (£50 a night) outside town which is worth seeing, its a few years since i have been though.....
