Alonso is past his best. He needs to quit too and make way for new keener drivers.

Don't be so silly. He's an outstanding driver. He won at Le Mans this year.

Oh yeah, with that other outstanding, world class driver, Nakajima :whistling:

But the flying Dutchman was.  He will amaze and delight for many years.

I am pleased for Lewis, he fought well.  The little cuddle from Seb was good to see, all good sporting stuff.

Bit foolish from max. All he had to do was let the ocon on better tyres go and he would have won easily.

don't rate him at all.....

he soon ran away when ocon went for him......

did you see the clip of his father taking someone out at the same corner.....

There's quite a few times recently that lewis has let max past due to correctly judging the risk/reward involved. Something max has yet to experience. He should learn from it but i doubt he will.

hammy told him that after the race......

vettels on par with max for the same mistakes.....

.... but should 'judging the risk' be a part of overtaking for the car in front? Reminiscent of Senna and Schumaker behaving badly so that everyone knows to just move over in future. Breaches the 'Spirit' of the race surely?

You could say that Ocons move was very very similar to Verstappens own style!
