Liverpool FC..Has any team been so lucky ever.

Could this Liverpool team turn out to be really unlucky?

With the postponement of the City v Arsenal fixture tonight and the ongoing spread of Covid-19 there remains a possibility that further matches may be postponed or even cancelled.  In the event that the full fixture list cannot be completed then this season may be deemed to be void.

The focus so far has been on the possibility of playing games behind closed doors but if the players and executives of football clubs are self-isolating (as in the case of Arsenal) the Premier League may have a difficult decision to make.

I'm a Liverpool fan (not that I'm that bothered by football overall) but even I find it funny that this season where they have been miles ahead of the rest of the league could be declared null and void with Man City retaining the title from 2018-19.  It might start a civil war in Lancashire, but if not I bet we'd hear the collective whining from Merseyside over here.  At least we'd get to keep the Champions League trophy if that goes the same way, which is possibly more likely.

Ironically a title they could be stripped off due to non-compliance with Financial Fair Play rules...

Good thinking. I like it! ;)

Gutted.

Liverpool absolutely battered Atletico for 90 minutes, had about 30 chances, only took one. Atletico defended superbly, Oblak was immense. Moronic mistake in extra time and thats the end of their reign.

Adrian needs to have a serious word with himself.
