Roger Ram Posted July 3 Posted July 3 One of the all time great sporting achievements given his injuries and health problems, mental and physical. Must be odds on for sports personality of the year now. 1 Quote
Jetfour Posted July 3 Posted July 3 The Manx Nation should be, rightly, very proud. (Is there an open-topped bus on the Island?) Quote
TheTeapot Posted July 3 Author Posted July 3 Astana were so on it from when I started watching, that was a brilliant team ride up until about a km when their sprint train got lost, but Cavendish followed Philipsen and then broke, that's an absolutely superb sprint from him. He'd have won a stage last year had he not crashed out, his form was clear for all to see, but that form has not been on show this season. Ultra focused on just one thing I guess. I fucking love the Tour de France. 1 Quote

The chain coming off means nothing is what I meant and you knew it. Some people have been suggesting online that he is lucky there wasn’t another 100m as his chain has come off. They are idiots, and that appeared to be what you were suggesting or why even mention it? Quote

I will stick with my opinion which is shared by the ex pros doing the studio work for Eurosport thanks, rather than listen to someone I don’t know on a forum who I doubt has ever ridden a stage in anger.
