Social Meetups / Social Networks??

Recently moved to the island and looking to meet new people (especially as I am permanently WFH) as part of any organised “nights out” or “social networks” (for want of a better phrase) for drink-based type meet ups together as a group such as watching sporting events, cocktail nights, pub quizzes, meals out etc etc (basically anything involving booze!!) aimed at, say, those around their late 20s to mid 40’s.

Done a pretty extensive search online and not had any joy in finding anything that matches the above, so any pointers would be most appreciated, cheers!!!

Do you have any interests apart from drinking? If so, your best bet might be to seek out like minded folk who meet up for those (plenty of walking groups, golf clubs, music groups etc), with the drinking as a bolt-on rather than the prime reason for the meeting.  If not, I'd suggest wine tasting, the beer and wine festival, food and drink festival etc - hang out in the bars and meet like minded people there.

One other thought - Quids Inn hosts 'philosophy in pubs' nights from time to time.  You could go along to them.

Thanks for the pointers wrighty - much appreciated!  I particularly like the sound of the philosophy in pubs!
