That final shows why people love football, for 80 minutes there was only 1 winner and then bang full of drama. As a neutral it is one of the best games I have ever seen, great goals, great saves just brilliant all round. I genuinely feel sorry for people who don't like football and missed out on those scenes

That's been the worst part of it the pundits who believe themselves to be "experts".

In future football matches should only be allowed to have 5 minutes before and after for punditry and adverts (if not on BBC).

As for Gary Lineker, even Rishi Sunak has condemned him for his political comments about the workers death in preparation for the World Cup. Maybe he should have stayed at home.

It was Gary Neville not Lineker. Ironically speaking to an audience of Brexity toads watching the game on ITV to avoid the woke BBC.

Lineker was annoying though gibbering on about his hero Maradona.

Yeah other than Ally McCoist who genuinely appeared to love the experience and brought enthusiasm to the role the rest of them were pretty bland or just downright thick and ignorant.

 

At 1 point during the semi finals you had 3 women pundits one of whom won i'm a celebrity talking about i'm a celebrity. Nobody cares it's the world cup semi final.

He is obsessed. Messi lifts the World Cup and his first comment is about Maradona. Pele dies and he talking about Maradona within a couple of sentences. He really needs to come to terms with the fact the piss-poor England team would never have won the World Cup in 1986 irrespective of Maradona.

Well we will never know. Piss poor teams have won the World Cups ( and other trophies) before.

But I don’t think that England team was that piss poor.
