We were just chatting and came to be talking about PC screen resolutions (the wild life of the Bees) we have ours all nice and small, 1280x1024 - I had my work one set the same, but now I am job sharing and the other person has changed the resolution to 'V-Tec' baby puter, we do accounts, have you ever tried using Excel on a Vtec machine? anyway I was just wondering what others thought? Am I being mental or is it really really annoying looking at stupid, big screen resolutions?

My home PC, laptop and works computers are all set to a screen resolution of 1024 x 768.

I think that this is one of the most popular screen resolution as I can remember reading somewhere about that resolution being most popular for web designers etc.

However I stand to be corrected

Cheers

Depends on the quality and size of your screen. I run in 1280x1024 as it's my native res for my TFTs but I was using 1152x864 on my CRT.

It's whatever feels right for you.

I'm still in the dark ages on 800x600 on a little of 15" Compaq monitor. :( Not bad for a Compaq though, I must have had it about 6 years now, never had a problem with it :) A nice big TFT monitor would be nice, if anyone's feeling extremely generous lol.

1152 x 864 on a jobby old 17"crt. Does me ok although a nice tft job would be nicer, funds never permitting.

I'm at 1152x864 on my old 19" CRT at home...at work I've upped my 15" TFT from 640 x 480 (VGA?) to 800 x 600 (SVGA?), and now it feels really strange using someone else's workstation!

19" TFT next time, with a 4GHz processor and a gig of memory... the trusty old 1.7 P4 is still perfectly adequate for now though...

Can't believe anything men say. They talk of cms and inches like they know what they are talking about.

But how can you trust a man who tells you this:-

Is 8 inches?

Pfft.

That's why women can't park a car :P
