Where's Hi Vibes when you need him/her?

Young people with psychological issues caused by the prospect of having to work, being required to turn up at their place of employment on time, preferably not under the influence of drink or drugs, do some work whilst they're actually there instead of playing on their phones and actually having to remain at their workplace until their due finish time.

All just too far much for them... 😜

More like young people being faced with the prospect of never having enough income to get out of the rental trap and having a retirement age that will outstrip the life expectancy of many.

Apparently teenagers aren't in to getting smashed anymore. No getting hammered at 15 on cheap white cider or the magnificent Thunderbird, no 10 hot knives, half a bottle of neat vodka and a whitey in the bath. That kind of thing might help. Government should give all 18 year olds a happy birthday E.

Yes life was so easy when we were their age wasn’t it?

Well if you want to find the most recent point in history where houses were as unaffordable as they are now you have to go back to the 1870s.

( “ they are on the spectrum “ what on earth does that mean?)

You should probably learn how to use Google, YouTube etc.  It might make you more tolerant of others.

Agreed. I resisted going on FB for a long time but had to eventually realise there is a lot of local knowledge going on ( business opening times etc) there which you wouldn’t get anywhere else.

Anyway,a large percentage of posters say I have an lb  who had ADHD I didn’t know what that meant  until it was explained to me that lb meant little boy , similar to lg I guess) and who has ADHD ( again has to look that up) and people should make allowances for their dreadful behaviour.

No doubt there are children who do genuinely suffer from ADHD, but it seems to be a fad and some sort of excuse for bad behaviour ( “ they are on the spectrum “ what on earth does that mean?)

Apologies in advance to those who have a genuine diagnosis of the condition. It shouldn’t be diluted by those wishing to explain away their child’s bad behaviour.

Tell me you're an ignorant idiot without telling me you're an ignorant idiot....

An interesting graph, I've been lucky enough to have mostly bought in a trough, but I bought once in a peak, just before a trough. I was trapped for ten years before breaking even and I had moved on. It does indicate the big problem, wages have stagnated in comparison to house prices too.

I'm not sure that this is a major cause of mental problems when compared to other factors, although it won't help.

It wasn’t that long ago that you’d write off kids as being quite literally, “defectives”. It didn’t matter if they were intelligent, if they struggled to read or write, then, they were dim and should just get on with that.

Of course, it turns out that you can actually both be dyslexic and very intelligent, but, it’s also reasonable to acknowledge that people with these conditions may still struggle with day-to-day skills. Einstein would forget to eat, lose his keys and forget his own phone number.

None of these conditions automatically make someone smart or stupid, but equally, I have met some very bright people with ADHD, who could solve problems few others could, and are highly qualified to prove it, but, they will also forget the mundane, like regular meals, paying bills on time etc, as their brains are always otherwise engaged.

So, maybe it isn’t a case of over diagnosing, but realising we know what signs to look for and how we can support people.

It means they are members of the same organisation as Captain Scarlet. They fight the Mysterons, so you can see it gets stress full.

Hope this helps, as  I think you can relate to this.
