Dave the Cardboard Box Posted August 4, 2004 Author Posted August 4, 2004 The Britania was opposite the old police station, now shores brow car park. And the signage for the Sun & Moon can still be clearly seen in Victoria street <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The pub at Shaws Brow opposite the Police Station was The Adelphi, not the Britannia. It was knocked down in the autumn of 1962 to make way for the original car park, as were dozens of houses. The Talbot still exists in Athol Street as Talbot Chambers. The Kit Kat wasn't on the ManxNet list. In my youth I just thought it sold Kit-Kats.... Couple of obscure ones for the Southerners - Perwick Bay Hotel, The Point
