What You Can't See

Remember the days, Jay, my friend

When you were young and followed the trend?

All your own teeth, full head of hair,

You've certainly suffered wear and tear.

Your waistband's expanded, middle age spread,

You're experiencing now the things young people dread.

Think back to the days when you were a young one,

I'm sorry to tell you those days are long gone.

Grouchy old sod, a right Victor Meldrew,

It was years ago that first pension you drew.

Hairs growing out of your ears and nose,

Bunions on your feet, corns on your toes.

Incontinence pants, yes they're prone to leak.

Recall the mishap you had last week?

So take heed old Jay and remember this

It's not a nice smell is stale old p iss.

A grumpy old bugga, wrinkled and rotten.

You were young once but I'm sure you've forgotten! :P

Those are way better than the original poem.

Old people can be grumpy feckers, but I'm a young(er) grumpy fecker so let them crack on. I can't wait till I can bang my shopping trolley into some "trendy young thing" and give them a filthy look as if it was their fault.

Ty Lucy, I reckon mine is a lot more accurate than Minnies attempt, she's abused her poetic license to much greater effect.....honest!
