sideways Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 I am pretty sure it’s not just me but…. If someone phones me on the land line I am quite happy to stay still and have a conversation, but if the mobile rings for some strange reason up I get and probably walk a half marathon whilst chatting away.. Has anybody any idea why a mobile makes you Mobile?
Kelly Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 I dont even know if I still have a landline! no body ever uses it
loaf Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 ADSL is the only reason why I use my landline, must admit.
loaf Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 There's one or two unprotected WiFi access points round my house too, come to think of it...
MrsTrellisfromNorthWales Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Still using mobiles? How passé. Mr Trellis and I much prefer semaphore these days.

Guest Rox Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Victor Spinetti? *guffaws* Not on my Monday nights he doesn't!
MrsTrellisfromNorthWales Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Victor Spinetti? *guffaws* Not on my Monday nights he doesn't! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's done it only the once. The joy of BBC7 is hearing Derek Nimmo. Wasn't he good? One of his limericks in a round broadcast last week. Once a young poof from Khartoum, Took a lesbian up to his room. They argued all night, Over who had the right, To do what, with what and to whom.
P.K. Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Me and Clement Freud, Derek Nimmo, Paul Merton, Kenneth Williams, Lisa Tarbuck, Tony Hawkes, Victor Spinetti . . . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I suppose Kenneth Williams lowers and raises his headstone..... Clement F has just finished an excellent series on R4. Although I can't quite see him mastering semaphore.
