  1. Burn after reading was brilliant, The cohen brothers back to what they do best, it's up there with the big lebowski.

And as for teeth one of the worst films i have ever seen, turned it off after an hour, awful

Brilliant :D Hold on, are you my dad?

No, but you must be 10 years old to think teeth was a good film ;)

  2. Apart from seeing one of the cast get their head blown off whilst wearing the daftest grin ever put on film, I genuinely couldn't see the point to Burn After Reading. Filed alongside No Country For Old Men in the "Coen Brothers Finally Disappear Up Their Own Arseholes" drawer.

If you want a good film, you can do worse than Teeth.

  3. Watched "In Bruges" last night expecting absolutly nothing from it as i am not a massive Colin Farell fan, but he proved me so wrong.

An excellent dark comedy, drama & thriller that works on so many levels.

If you know nothing about it, you may start out wondering where it is going as it is rather a slow pace, but if you stick with it the film just grows on you, and even the missus agreed it was the best film we have seen in a good year.

    Fully recommended.

agreed, didn't know much about it when i put it on, but really enjoyed it, brilliant film.

    colin farrell was excellent.

  4. watched Deathproof last nite ( tarantino's latest ), absolute pile of shite...the most exciting thing about the movie was the trailer for the Robert Rodriguez zombie-esque movie ( Planet Terror )that I hope is out soon

I loved planet terror, great film.

  5. We watched The Life of Brian on Saturday night. Who knows how many times I have seen that film but it always manages to make me LOL, even the lad at 8 appreciated some of the comedy, the subtleties were lost, but he enjoyed it. Not bad for a film that is nearly 30 years old.

I never get tired of watching that film, one of the finest comedys ever made.

    "we have no woger"

  6. As i said 1 was a telesync and a very good copy it was too but next time i'll run it past you to make sure it meets the standards of the internet police...thanks for that, i've got a long way to be as cool as you.

I actually left the house to go out and celebrate my birthday with friends this weekend and had a great night, thanks for asking.

Again i'll ask, how do you know i haven't watched the full version of hostel? you seen them both have you, there certainly was no blurred vision or sound problems

What did your weekend consist of? Trawling through endless threads in the hope your superior knowledge can be used to try and put somebody down?

    Get a life hulahoop.

  7. As i said i only ever download dvd'r's of most films i get, i dn't watch cam versions and all thefilms i get are of dvd quality which i put onto dvd.

well done for downloading films 10 years ago, maybe in 10 years i'll be as cool as you and won't post what films i've watched on a thread entitled "The last film you saw".

  8. Out of all them i listed only evan almighty was a telesync, the rest were either dvdr's or original copies of the film.

I thought the copy of hostel 2 i had was very good, yes it was a workprint, how do you know that's not the final version, it looks finished to me?

Picture and sound were spot on i won't watch a poor quality copy or telesync.

Thing is your saying how people have ruin films by watching poor copies yet you've obviously wacthed the exact same copy or did you just watch the lift scene?

  9. A few films i've watchd in the last couple of days:

    Shooter - brilliant action film

Evan almighty - sequle to bruce almighty, not as good as the first film and no jim carey but still a decent enough film

London to brighton - excellent british film.

Hostel 2 - very good sequel, but as gruesome as the first.

The hills have eyes 2 - didn't expect much of this but Another very good seqel.

  10. I have to say, I was totally blown away by This Is England (IMDb) last night. I had only just moved to the UK in 1983, and it gave me a real snap shot of what was going on in that time. Beautifully written, directed and cast. Would recommend it highly.

I watched that at the weekend brilliant film, really enjoyed it.

And for anyone that hasn't seen it i'd recommend Dead mans shoes, which is done by the same director. Another excellent film.
