  2. Just had a read about the show - coz it's obviously peak time viewing and I have never heard of it.

Alan Carr - 'a design guru'!  FFS.

I don't think I'd be putting that on my CV.

    Typical BBC TV stodge.

Well, I can’t be arsed copying and pasting it and would have thought that people who post here would be members of that group.

Even if they aren’t, it takes less time to join than typing your comment here did, and it’s good comedy.  There are some proper nutters in there

But you copied an pasted the link ..

  4. I wonder if the tax man would like to know how he can afford to buy, service, insure and not tax all these cars/vans owns?

He always seems to plead poverty but spends on COSTA and vehicles like they are going out of fashion.

Low speed, and hardly any real damage.

Why do we need such a big response and a closed road these days?  When cars were much less safe we would have pushed those to the side of the road, swept the road and maybe sent a couple of coppers.

Because some twat (probably a cab driver) will try to weave passed at 60mph and take out some poor sod trying to help.

That fucking burger sign on the path is a pain in the arse when you are in a low car.

MNH now "Closed for refurbishment until Summer 2024 (reopening date to be announced)"...

Awaiting the tender process for someone to repair the fire savaged remains and return it to it's former glory some time in 2030.

  7. It's simple.

Alf has no control over anything.

Step aside NOW so someone can get a grip of the whole farce and begin some real changes.

The worrying things is - not many, if any, can.

I see that Manxradio is stating that

However, Treasury has now confirmed inaccurate figures were included in the preliminary calculation, which are likely to have been significantly more favourable to the vessel.

which to my mind is ambiguous - does it mean the Ben was less powerful and thus the limit of 48% can be raised or more powerful and thus the power limit needs to be reduced - either way it seems both the SPCo and Government are working on incorrect figures - I realise that SPCo wish to get rid of the Ben then with no alternative to a boat unsuited both to weather and ports restrict the number of sailings per year with considerably higher fares needed to keep the flow of money into Treasury

Simply put - It's for sale but cannot be used in Irish Sea now.   So there is no chance of someone buying it and undercutting the Packet for the TESCO shipping.

  9. From the pictures .. Christ!  That is one busy cul de sac to stop cars on.

That must be the sum total of the entire residents stopped from there.

Were they leaving for work or coming back from a dog walk?
