Well, at least these lads aren't robbing cars and making a nuisance of themselves drinking that blue WKD in the streets the young 'uns all seem to swig these days. Although Captain Isle of Man's granny-road-crossing skills need to be improved.

There is some bloke wandering round thinking "who the fuck is Rhumsaa?"

I saw who I thought was Rhumsaa walking down Douglas Promenade yesteday, but I had to look twice and I don't think it was. He gave me a look as if to say he was fed up with all the people looking at him.

Rhumsaa, you do indeed have a double.

When you bump in to him, tell him the Island is only big enough for one of you and kindly advise him to either shave off his beard or dye his hair or something.

I am guessing that Girl89, Mupster and Chebobs are all friends. Therefore you don’t need to tell us every time you have seen eachother, I think we can take it that it’s a foregone conclusion on an Island this small that you are going to see eachother quite a lot.

But on the Isle of Man it is very exciting when you see someone you know and if you are in a car you can proclaim your excitement by toot toot tooting the horn. That way you just annoy say, fifty people but if you say "Hiya" on a forum that is potentially broadcast to the whole world, except maybe a Tibetan mountain or something. And if an Everest mountaineer had a Backberry thing and the satellite signal was good he could give it to a Tibetan Monk who at least in theory could then log on to manxforums MF spotting topic and that way you can annoy everybody, and I mean everybody. Potentially.

got a taxi tonight asked if he was lonan 3 and unexpectibly he said yes! found him to be top bloke.(apart from being an over priced Taxi driver)

Everytime I get into a taxi I weigh the driver up . . . . is it Lonan3?

I start chatting to find out how much they know about the Island - usually all of them quite a lot of course. What about the political scene - they mostly seem to have a good opinion on that too. And I must say the majority seem to be pleasant enough chaps.

Perhaps I should just go up the Taxi rank and ask "Hi - are you Lonan3? " but I think I would get a few strange looks!

I was listening to Ben Hartley's show on Manx Radio this morning just before 8:30am and there was a mention from someone who's name I didn't catch, for Bill Posters and Roxanne!!

All the Star Wars characters were coming out of Strand 58. A brass band was coming down the road and played them a quick rendition of the Star Wars theme !!

It was all quite bizarre really.
