Also showing the old chimney stacks at Glen Chass.
I remember when they demolished the old mine chimney things, and watching as they were blown up (from a safe distance)
-
Any use?
Thank you, but that's the Bay Queen Hotel - the Perwick was further up the coast line.

Watched "Limitless" in Leicester Square, and both my wife and I thought it was absolutely superb.
I really liked Limitless as well, it wasn't what I expected it to be, it was better. Would recommend it.

I remember the donkey (wasn't there two?). They lived at the bottom where the swimming pool used to be, and sometimes up the top near Perwick Drive. I remember swimming in the pool as a small child - it was freezing cold and full of dead flies as it was an outdoor pool. I worked in the Perwick for a little while as a teenager serving breakfasts. Ian was the Chef there then - he has Breagle Glen now.
My wife worked there while Ian was the chef - Shona Mylchreest do you remember her?
I don't remember her I'm afraid. It was a long time ago and I have a terrible memory for names and faces

I was looking for a photo of the old Perwick Bay Hotel that used to be in Port St Mary (long gone now unfortunately) but couldn't find one, and wondered if anybody had one please.

in this context I suppose a hippy, in some form, is someone who does not want to contribute to society - and the part that I hate, still wants to benefit from it - whether it is income support, or jet travel to India.
Shouldn't that include chavs, scallies and any general benefit scrounger if you are going to start calling names. I wouldn't say that 'not wanting to contribute to society but wanting to benefit from it' was reserved just for 'hippies' (and as most people have pointed out, a lot of hippies are not like that at all)

There is a chap who mends clocks (he did my antique grandmother clock for me). I think his name is Abrahams but I am not sure of his number - I contacted him through Hamilton Restorations (Tel: 662483).

I saw a black polydactyl Manx cat once - so cute with his massive paws. Weren't polydactyls considered witches cats in years gone by?
