  1. I remember the donkey (wasn't there two?). They lived at the bottom where the swimming pool used to be, and sometimes up the top near Perwick Drive. I remember swimming in the pool as a small child - it was freezing cold and full of dead flies as it was an outdoor pool. I worked in the Perwick for a little while as a teenager serving breakfasts. Ian was the Chef there then - he has Breagle Glen now.

My wife worked there while Ian was the chef - Shona Mylchreest do you remember her?

I don't remember her I'm afraid. It was a long time ago and I have a terrible memory for names and faces :)

  3. in this context I suppose a hippy, in some form, is someone who does not want to contribute to society - and the part that I hate, still wants to benefit from it - whether it is income support, or jet travel to India.

Shouldn't that include chavs, scallies and any general benefit scrounger if you are going to start calling names. I wouldn't say that 'not wanting to contribute to society but wanting to benefit from it' was reserved just for 'hippies' (and as most people have pointed out, a lot of hippies are not like that at all)

  4. Nope, I know who manx minx is. I met this lady three years ago at the mf do. Always thought it twas you.

I did attend the MF do in Amber a couple of years ago so probably have met you there - maybe I have a double in Ramsey. I don't go out very often, but if ever I'm in Ramsey I shall keep an eye out for you :)
