"Cold Feet". Seriously? The "best" goalkeeper in the world cannot pass a ball or at least kick it long because he has cold feet?!
Liverpool the gift that keeps on giving!
Nothing to say on your team's performance then...

Because you capitalised the 'D', I genuinely read this and thought 'Who is Dick Longworth? If he's that influential, how come I've never heard of him?'
It's all about the way the sentence is constructed...

Cancel the football.
Declare the season null and void.
Please.
Win the premier league and hopefully go on from there. Instead we've gone back four seasons FFS

People are generally honest so this will never happen. I’ve had so many things just left outside, in some cases quite valuable stuff that should have been signed for. If every time this happened everyone contacted Amazon for a refund claiming it had never arrived perhaps they’d start using a more expensive more reliable delivery agent.
I have complained to Amazon several times when I’ve found electrical goods left outside in the rain etc. They don’t care. They apologise and credit your account with a fiver.
That’ll learn ya... buy local

Its not strapped well though, it has a strap that is attached to a flimsy bit of plywood by means of screws driven through a bit of 2 x1 baton.
That is not a good fixing, either the screws pull out or more likely the baton splits in half from the screws being driven through it and the whole thing topples on a pram or, as you seem more concerned about, sheep.
Lots of ifs buts and maybe’s in that...

What is going on with the tramlines??
Months were spent laying lines at bottom of Broadway to the bit where the curve is. They were nearly ready to join. Now they have been ripped up and it looks like the intention is to just forget the whole thing. Anyone here know what is going on? It must cost 1000s to undo what has just been done, I suppose that is not considered important though.
I don't know about anybody on here - nobody anywhere seems to have a bloody clue what's going on...

I know what a fucking Manxie is and what it fucking isn’t. I can label Johnny Foreigner quick as look at him. By which I mean any bugger not from down my way. For example, bloody Wattersons from over the Bridge, Corrins from Peel and Cowells from Douglas. Foreigners the lot of ‘em. And don’t get me started on those aliens from Laxey.
those from Onchan, please refrain from commenting...

Its was chaos on Somerset Road. Buses in both directions could get through. I was at least 10mins late for work.......well at least I don't live in Manchester, Leeds or London
if you lived in any of those places, you'd be more than ten minutes late for work...

The virus doesn't care for legal loopholes and regulations.
Not going to see family in UK due to not being able to really self-isolate for 3 weeks shouldn't even come into it.

The real problem was the number of selfish people who should have remained on the island rather than went to the UK for Christmas and New Year on unnecessary trips. Give it a miss ffs. Like most of us have for twelve months where trips have been cancelled.
It was comical that about 15 teachers wouldn't be teaching in the first two weeks.of term because they were isolating. Dept of Education should have been all over that but I believe they devolved any decisions down to head teachers.
Unnecessary according to who - you. There was no laws preventing them going and as long as they adhered to the isolation regs then they did no wrong. Personally, I would love to go and see family in the UK but can't really self-isolate for three weeks as I have a business to run.
You could do with having a word with yourself...

Jesus Christ! That needs sorting ASAP.
An accident waiting to happen if that is somewhere the public can walk past.
Imagine that thing toppling on a pram?
The way it is strapped to the building, how do you think it would topple on a ram...🥱

Honest question. Do some of you actually check the tide forecast before going for a drive into Douglas?
You could see how bad it was from the bottom of Summerhill. You don't need to be a meteorologist to spot that bad weather

For years now, the Prom in the area of Port Jack has been closed around high tide whenever there has been a bit of overtopping likely. What is the difference between that bit of road and the area around the sunken gardens?
As I said before, you can't actually see how bad it is along there before you've entered the section.
And yes, people do tend to be monumentally stupid nowadays, which is why the authorities need to be a bit more proactive.
that's some feckin overtopping if they have to close Port Jack. The rest of Douglas must be underwater...

We need a whole raft of people to stand who are as far away from the old boys club as possible, and a diversity of ideas and a willingness to engage and debate ! I listen to the argument that we don't need shrewd business people as we have those at the top of the CS ! well if we do I haven't seen any evidence of it !
The days of the nodding dogs have to be numbered as it is holding back the island and every decision needs scrutiny by opposing views, that alone would save administrative time in having less enquiries after the event !
In other words, 24 new MHK's. Still won't solve the problem of the faceless CS...but it's a start

Agree but it should clearly have been closed much earlier . I had to go to Onchan but was no way I would risk the prom but its fair to assume lots rely on authorities to make the judgement .
this is the problem when you have a population that requires somebody else to think for them. The planet is feckin doomed
