Surely you must know already, otherwise how would you think it could be offensive?

Actually, I didn't say that I didn't know what is meant by the term "mongs".

I asked if the poster would care to explain what He/She defines as mongs.

Always thought the only people who would shop in there would be half dead mongs, and I was bang on.

I think/hope that many people will find your post offensive, on several levels.

(BTW - would you care to explain what you mean by "mongs"?)

He who laughs last last laughs loudest, Lets not forget poor Tim Baker  he was totally butchered by Mrs Barber, when she took the environment and infrastructure policy review of the meat plant to Tynwald, when he was in charge in 2021.  He was hung, drawn and quartered by Clare Barber, but now she seems to have gone very quiet on the meat plant front.

Yes Holte.   I have been wondering why the DEFA Minister has gone so quiet.   (Maybe she is even deafer than I thought!  😀)

It went to Belfast yesterday evening and came back from there overnight. So it didn’t pick up and bring over the Sunday papers on the 02.15 from Heysham.

No point picking up the papers at 14.15 from Heysham as they’d only arrive at 18.00.

So they’re coming over from Liverpool and will be in the shops around 3pm.

Its the news paper wholesaler paid advert.

Thanks John. I was confused because it says she is sailing to Belfast today, when, in fact she sailed to Belfast yesterday  and sailed from  Belfast in the early hours today.

    (Just my pedantry, I guess.)

  6. Genuine question:   Does anyone know why MR keep saying this, today?

"If you are looking forward to reading your Sunday newspapers today you'll have to wait until around 3 o'clock this afternoon to pick them up.

It's because the Manxman is sailing to Belfast today instead of Heysham. It means the papers will depart Liverpool at 11.15 aboard Manannan. "

(Marine Traffic shows that the Manxman is en route for Heysham.)

It is understandable if publicising hampers the investigation or if next of kin have yet to be informed.

What have hampers got to do with it?

This is no picnic, Glad.  🙂

Annette Baker, whose latter twitter-spat with Hooper was screen-shot a few pages back.

Thanks.  (I didn't know that Mrs Baker had been Deputy Head at Balla. I thought she was just one of the Senior Management Team.)

You pretend to know about her in order to rubbish her, but you thought she was Head at Balla, where she was a deputy, didn't realize she was Head of RGS, don't understand why professionals are on Linkedin, and think there's something dodgy about a 'lady' having strong opinions. Have a word with yourself, and if you're stuck for one I can make some suggestions.

    Genuine question, Harry:

Who is the lady who was Deputy Head at Balla, and Head at RGS?

    Thanks.

Fair play to Michelle for highlighting this to a wider audience, now waiting  for foghorn voice Crookall at doi with his big book of excuses.

Yes - Hopefully Timbo will hopefully tell us that this will hopefully soon be sorted, in, hopefully, a very short time. .. .  hopefully.

Well a quote of £11M (albeit in 2018) is not going to happen when it's costing £6.6M+ for a dolphin at the end of the pier.

FFS - we could probably get Flipper for a few bucketsfull of Sardines!

I hope you're not thinking of blaming Gary Cobb (An inspirational, enthusiastic, results driven leader with proven experience in Aviation) for this.  Please remember that nothing that goes on at Ronaldsway has anything to do with him.

Sports Hall is open and has been used for at least a few weeks.

There is a big vacant area in the middle where the cafe will go, but no seating etc there yet.  There is a also a big circular meeting room open in the 'tower' which the kids used for snacks after the party.

Dentists and Nursery have signage, but they're not operating yet due to the access issues holding up the signing of contracts etc.

I tried snooping around at the weekend when I was there for a kids party in the sports hall.  Looked like majorettes or twirlers or something were after us.

Did they manage to catch you?😀

  15. I don't really accept that this Fact-Finding Jolly is at no cost to the Manx Taxpayer. But they are being paid a full-time wage to do a full time job. So - who is doing their job when they are off-Island?

  16. "strategic mid-term reshuffle" is just about as believable as "this is NOT a U-turn."

(Reading through some of the statements it appears that Daffy was offered the Education gig on Tuesday, and Julie was told on Wednesday that she was sacked.)

Sadly, this is not the same Alf C who came in, in 2021 like a stiff new brush. Getting rid of Black and then Greenhow and some of his public statements suggested that he had some mettle and gave hope but it would appear that the behemoth now has him on the ropes.

Clearly the culture that it was hoped that would exit with Greenhow still exists which makes one wonder who is pulling the strings now?
