Finally watched The Dark Knight yesterday.

Despite hating all previous Batman films it merits a very good from me.

I have just witnessed the most incompetent piece of DoT planning yet.

With the road from Signpost to the Nook closed forcing people into Onchan some genius has decided it is about time that road was covered in loose chippings.

So how does this £4m project prevent everyone coming from the west having to give way to everyone coming from the south every morning thus causing large tailbacks towards Braddan Bridge?

Wouldn't it have been cheaper, quicker and easier to drop an atomic bomb on Peel?

On the plus side it looks like a great indycar racing track

I saw last week that the workmen had actually scrawled The Dog's Home on the window there.

Also re The Bowler I hear it is to be refurbished and turned into a sports bar. I feel sorry for whichever poor people get to refurbish the gents. I don't think it has been cleaned since 1986

Any sympathy I had dissolved when I saw the picture of all the rubbish mainly consisting of bottles of White Lightning and Frosty Jacks cider.
