  1. Deadmans Shoes is faultless in my mere eyes. Paddy Considine is brilliant in it. It took me a few double takes before I realised it was him in 24 hour party people.

    "Don't mention the elephant!"

"Too late, he mentioned the elephant.."

    A seminal British movie. :weee:

  2. Spotted, outside our shop. Woman in late thirties sporting white t-shirt and spray on jeans caught in heavy rain shower, trying to herd her kids out of the deluge. Quite fetching.

Oh wait. MF spotting. Sorry, bloody eyesight.. :geek:

  3. Um, ok - not a cinema release but watched "Boy A" last night on C4.

I knew it wouldn't be easy viewing but stuck with it. Glad I did, when I'm finished living out of cardboard boxes (moving house, not homeless..) I'll buy the book. Stunning, moving performance by Andrew Garfield; Peter Mullan was in predictably fine form too.

  4. Right. I can't be arsed trawling through all 100 or so pages, but the Latvian hit-man I've hired really needs an accurate description of KeyBonkers. Short? Fat? Bald? Male? Female? Neither? Please hurry, his speedboat leaves soon..

  5. And Mission don't know if you managed to watch it yet but Downfall is just one of the best movies. Was on E4 or C4 this weekend just gone.My dvd of it has disappeared :(

I got around to watching the dvd a month or so back, only to realise I'd already seen it! Have to agree though, it is a good film.

An utterly compelling, brilliantly acted film that depicts just how low the human race can sink.

Not Saturday night fare with yer mates by any means but essential viewing nonetheless and a welcome change from "America won the war" blockbusters too..
