I remember that being on, the fella who managed Twisted Angels brought them over. Didnt have a very good turn out as he was on the Manxbands website berating all and sundry for not showing up. Came across as a bit of a cock to be honest.

Poor you. There is a perfectly serviceable Travelodge in Morecambe which I doubt is ever full and one in Lancaster if it is (plus Premier Inn and Holiday Inn). 15 quid in a taxi at worst.

 

As for airports, have you ever been stuck at Gatwick overnight? Last time Easyjet cancelled the last flight back, the nearest hotel they could find us was in Brighton. I'd rather be in Heysham than Gatwick. And being stuck air side is worse. Nothing open and no fresh air.

Death Race - Below par even for the mindless fun I assumed it would be. Its been a while since i saw the original, but I'm sure it was better. Avoid.

In Bruges - Fantastic, loved the dialogue between Farrell and Gleeson. The only weak point was Ralph Fiennes who seemed to be doing a bad impression of Ben Kingsley in "Sexy Beast" throughout. Aside from that, a good watch, recommended.

Saw "Valkyrie" the other day.

A bit slow starting, and if you know the history then you know how it ends.

Having said that, its well made and the cast is very good. 6/10.

I watched Doomsday a couple of nights ago, good film, Rhona Mitra is hawt.

The other good one to search for in a similar vein is the journalist Christopher Mayhew, who took mescaline and had the experience filmed for a proposed documentary. Suprisingly enough it was deemed unsuitable for broadcast at the time (1955). Interesting watching.
