Well not exactly but I had rather a shock today when an old friend who no longer resides on the island strolled into the shop. I guess it's been around 2½ years since I've seen him and it was a real breath of fresh air to do so, if a little spooky. I went for a smoke after he'd left and reflected on our conversation and a whole heap of really great memories came flooding back. I really miss those days, when nothing really mattered much and life was just about having a bloody good time and a laugh. I've lost touch with so many of the people in my life from that time for one reason or another and it just made me take a step back for a few minutes and think about things.Things never stay the same, people come and go and life does change so much but the one thing you'll always have (health permitting) is your memories and just once in a while, you get a little jog to remind you of how good things were, and that spurs you on for a little bit longer.I really miss that dude, and the times we all had back then.
