Following on from the 'Are we alone' post made earlier, it struck me that at times, I and for that matter others are alone on this forum (and, no doubt many others across the globe). You know that point, when no-one else that is a registered poster (or a regular poster for that matter) during the early hours of the morning when all seems quiet and you pretty much have the place to yourself (but in reality, you don't, because you are being watched, by the army of 'guests' that lurk out there).I remember, back in 2002, when I was one of these 'guests'. I'd just bought my first home pc and discovered the manx.net chat room and forums. I ventured into the chat room but didn't quite know how to broach the forums. I took the plunge eventually though (and a shed load of stick too) but kept plodding along.Now, nearly 2½ years later, here I am, a forum moderator (though some might not rate that as an achievement). My message here, well quite simply it is this... For all those 'guests' out there that want to post but don't think they have the nerve, take that first step, register an account and get posting. Whilst it's a lot of fun looking in from the outside, it can be a whole lot more fun being a part of the forum and you get to meet some great people in the flesh too. I've made many an acquaintance through the various forums over here and I don't regret taking that first step one little bit.
