With car use likely to decline over the coming years, do we really need the marginally extra capacity this will provide? The problem exists for less than 2 hours a day, yet the DoT wants us to endure 2 years of roadworks?

Well, its certainly Ambitious (PDF). Could be set up to allow traffice to turn left out of the access road. Looks like pub will have to be demolished. Could be used for art/ads/spectator seating.

I knew as soon as I saw the title of this thread it was going to involve roundabouts. I've never had a problem at the QB, and, even though it was always built up as the boogeyman for learner drivers, found navigating it a total breeze, as roundabouts are really very simple things.
