  1. Exact problem I had first time around when watching it on sky, I had no idea who was who apart from the two main fellas, which does actually ruin it quite a bit, hard to feel anything for them when they die when you don't know who it is! RE: Frankie Boyle - 50/50 to me, always has been, but I gotta admit think I might be leaning more in favour of not liking his stuff now a days. I liked bits of tramadol nights, and actually thought some of sketches were actually pretty damn good (knight rider was a stand out), but there were a few turkeys in the sketches and the jokes and I was even more disappointed with his DVD which was all the same material as Tramadol nights......I agree the MTW producers and editors were the real talent behind Boyle........
  2. Sex Drive: What it says on the tin really, I was expecting it to be worst than it was, but by the end i was laughing in places, but then again maybe i was just more drunk. American Gangster: Really good film, Crowe is great in it, quite long and there are places where you are waiting for the story to wrap up, but thats like most films that last 2 odd hours. thoroughly recommended. The Departed: Similar in some respects to American gangster, but slightly lighter and a really good interesting story. A gangster films with some twists and a massive all star cast, again i'd recommend. Hurt Locker: Expected a lot from this and it didn't disappoint, well directed and every scene was nail biting, tension wise. My only problem was it didn't really seem to go anywhere, was more like a documentary, but thats what made it, so really no complaints! great film with some great action sequences! Airplane: Watched it again recently, I swear every time you find another joke! One of the best comedies ever, still had me in stitches and ive watched it so many times! State of Play: Been meaning to watch the BBC series as heard a lot of good things, but alas watched the movie first, and thought it was a fantastic movie, with plenty of twists. One of the best unique and original stories ive heard in a while. A must see, now I must watch the BBC version and see which is better! i assume its just like the movie but the british version? theres a few ive seen recently, seemed to have been watching loads recently!
  3. Nah, Clash of the Titans wasn't filmed for 3D. They 'adapted' it when they saw how successful Avatar is. That said, I wouldn't say 3D adds a lot to any film, but I wouldn't judge it based on what you saw. i thought it was alrite, nothing to special, but I enjoyed it and its not even my type of film at all. 3D a bit of a sham though, did seem like an after thought
  4. Lock stock and two smoking barrels - Cant believe havnt seen this sooner, one of the best movies ive seen in a while, only complaint was the acting was a bit wooden at times, still great story which soon made me forget about the poor acting! The Hangover - Was sceptical about seeing this as it was billed as the funniest movie ever in some reviews, but alas it did actually live up to the hype and was quite amusing, story was good too, never saw some bits coming, which made it a nice refreshing watch. The Bank Job - Great movie, and story, never knew anything about it (its a true story) another movie i wuld highly recommend.
  5. Semi-Pro - another average will Ferrell movie, but worth a watch, some good moments, i did fear it would be as bad as blades of glory, but it wasnt too bad. Good for a quick will F fix
  6. star trek, was alright, average and definately worth a watch, but didnt think it was anything that special, then again im not much of a trekkie, i also thought the story was a bit pants, with the time travelling thing, i just didnt feel that spock was actually talking to himself since technically he wasnt....
  7. deuce bigalow, the first one --- I enjoyed it, nice little film, does exactly what it says on the tin
  8. I watched PS I love you last night, on my own, i felt a bit sad.......anyway, pretty boring film to start of with, but eventually got going a bit nearer the end
  9. Knocked Up - Loved it, such a good film, great acting, and great script. Plently of LOL moments, My only problem with those type of movies is there is naver really any big event happening in it to shock you (and the end is usually the birth of the baby) still enjoyable watches. Withnail and I - Bought this, as ive never seen it, but more to see what the fuss was about it, after hearing the news stories about the cottage that was for sale. Like most cult-y films, took me a while to get into, definately one i need to watch again to fully enjoy it but it was an intersting movie
  10. blades glory t'other night pile of crap, a few good will ferrell moments other than that a waste of time
  11. watchmen tonight! far far far far too long, and didnt find it that impressive at all 6 maybe 7 at a push/10 from me
  12. Closer - 8/10 Great acting, and original story, nice to see it not have much of a happy satisfying ending
  13. saw nick and norahs infinite playlist on sat, was alright ,an enjoyable 90 minutes, could do worst.....
  14. "The Wrestler" absolutely fantastic film, one of the best ive seen in a very long time, Micky Rourke is fantastic in it and that bruce springsteen song is amazing too. Stunning film, that doesnt suffer from being over-hollywood, and has a great ending...cant believe its been snubbed at the oscars!
  15. ghost town is surprisingly alright actually, good film. watch role models the other night, wasnt really sure where the plot was going to go but i thouroughly enjoyed it in the end, great film with quite a lot of laughs, definately a lot more to it than the trailers suggest
