  1. Can I assume the 6000 rebels have dutifully paid up ?
  2. I was at CRHS in the early days when it had been transformed from an RAF/Fleetairarm accommodation camp to a school. Sir ? Cretney and Mr Smith were the heads during the period. I can say that I look back with affection at my days at the old school with the Ministry of Pensions type radiators, puddles of water in the corridors and metal roof girders to swing on. Frozen in the winter and hot in the summer. Windows that were perminantly secured in case they fell out. Missing from the above list is Mr Bashforth. He could be easily persuaded to read the class stories, usually Tom Sawyer and Rudyard Kippling. He was a gent and sadly passed away too early in his life. Mr Baucher [affectionally known as billy the weed] was also a gent. I liked the school, got on well with the staff but my fellow pupils - mainly crap. PS I was also a Prefect in 5B. !! Edited to add The Rev Kelly was from Peel but spent a lot of his life in Liverpool where he was involved with the Missions to Seamens' Church.
