Have to justify the enhanced payment for fire arm trained officers and also provide justification for having the unit in the first place.
There isn't a firearm unit.

Unless one of the walkers happens to have a fivers worth of weed on him. Then you'll have police helicopters/boats/dogs out in force...
Need to get those arrest stats up for the Christmas bonus

Kind of related. I sent a passport application in mid-April and payment has just been taken yesterday. I now have to wait for it to be processed (no estimate of time included in the cover letter).
That’s fairly crapI put my passport renewal in start of April had my new passport back by the beginning of May so you shouldn't be waiting to long

CM Cannan on the NPM, saying he is determined that the island will have a referendum on this subject. What happens if the people vote against? Will the legislation be dead in the water? What I do envisage is lots of social media name calling and trying to discredit anyone who disagrees.
Alf Cannan won't care by the time it rolls around it will be the new governments issue

I'm not denying your concern, and I suppose every police person in the land has said "it's an accident waiting to happen" and no doubt such an event has the police on standby, at a time when the police need to do some of their ever mounting paperwork or indeed sat in their squad cars eating their proverbial pasties.
It's just that all things considered, I don't really see much room for negativity on this event.
not quite sure what you are on about, never heard it mentioned once and not even sure if any police are deployed to it.

Sorry, but......"oh fuck off".
It's popular because it is a great thing to do, it's fun, It is simple, etc etc.
Are you worrying about it potentially taking the precious police 'away from their donuts' ...?
I'll say it again (on this matter only, sir) "Oh fuck off"
such a tired cliche doughnuts
it's kebabs and pasties mate

It has got so popular because people want to be seen to be doing the in thing, take pictures put them on social media, get likes, get the dopamine hit

I thought the keeping parents outside the cage thing was just part of the 3 week respect campaign?
I would have preferred to keep all parents further away during my time coaching 😀.
No it's not unfortunately it's a permanent thing. From the couple of years I have been going down the parents have been respectful, they shout encouragement but I haven't seen anyone that has gone nuts or screaming at kids although I know it does happen I have never witnessed it
-
The FA are petty well the junior FA anyway, they have banned parents from going inside the cages at astroturf pitches because some nugget tripped over the chains that hold the goals in place, I was down the bowl the other week watching my kid play bit of sun was on an area just by the steps. I sat on the steps to sit in the sun legs on the astroturf and some bloke in a bib came over told me to move as I wasn't allowed on the pitch.

Has there been talk of a screen being put up? If not then the road closure is pretty pointless.
They should stick it in the villa gardens

I’d say there was more to it than just that. Maybe the player and the ref have history over the seasons. Or even in this game.
The guy picked up the ball in the area while the game was still on going. Its a penalty

Haven't even read the article buy I'd bet my mortgage on the ref having the initials DF

The world is becoming a more dangerous place and whilst the Isle of Man is still relatively safe we aren't immune, better to have protocols in place in case the worst does happen.

There lies a whole separate issue . Children who need proper help can't get it for at least five years because of government failures .
But putting camera's in any toilets is beyond wrong . Who's actually watching these videos?
Probably nobody watches the videos until there is a time to review it due to possibly damage caused to the toilets or a fight taking place.
Did you think someone was sat there all day just monitoring the cameras?
