  1. Why did you register 2,000 accounts on there too to support your idiotic misoginist views on abortion?
  2. It's nice you're so proud of being a cartoonish hateful piece of shit.
  3. Flushing them down the bog should be mandatory for "downers" though shouldn't it in your world? http://www.manxforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/59916-abortion/?p=1126248
  4. Ooooh. Controversial poster says controversial thing in a controversial way to deliberately wind people up on Internet forum. Yes getting an abortion is a piece of piss and probably the only thing you are missing to understand the mental anguish and true situation is a fanny. That said you appear to be a complete fanny.
  5. He obviously finally ended up working for people who actually expected some sort of return for the mega bucks they were funding. Unlike IOMG. Time to move on.
  6. Yes. It's worth repeating their press release here: "There is no doubt that the news that Treasury have arranged to sell roughly half of its holding in Pinewood for a profit of 50 per cent is good news. Not such good news as the Treasury Minister, Eddie Teare, is portraying but good news nonetheless. Minister Teare has always maintained that the investment in shares in Pinewood and the media advice/management of the media development fund are linked and has even referred to it as a hedge, although we are not quite sure how the definition of a hedge ties in with the Pinewood deal, so let’s have a quick recap of events since 2007 when the methodology of investment in the film industry was changed because of amendments to the VAT regulations. In 2007 £50,000,000 was transferred onto the balance sheet of CinemaNX Ltd, a privately-owned company, who advised Treasury on which films they should be investing in. This was not subject to a debate in Tynwald and in fact Tynwald members had no knowledge of this. It was a five-year contract and not one film made a profit, or broke even, in its own right during that time. When considering the overall benefit during the five years of the contract with CinemaNX various figures have been quoted by the Chief Minister, Treasury Minister, previous Treasury Minister and Oxford Economics. There is such a huge difference in their various assertions ranging from millions of gain to millions of losses that it is difficult to differentiate between what is fact and what is pure fantasy. What we do know for a fact is that at the end of the contract there was roughly £25,000,000 in cash remaining and other assets amounting to some £8,000,000. It is this £25,000,000 that was the subject of the debate in Tynwald together with the purchase of the Pinewood shares in June 2012. On November 25 last year, LibVan leader Kate Beecroft asked the Treasury Minister for the current position in respect of the media development fund and it was stated that, at that time, there was some £10,300,000 remaining in cash. In summary, and leaving aside any additional exchequer benefits and ignoring the £8,000,000 in other assets, between 2007 and 2012 the media development fund was depleted by some £17,000,000 and has been further depleted by some £14,700,000 up to the end of November last year. It has to be hoped that one of the films that has had public funds invested will turn out to be a major block-buster and give us a massive return on investment. It would appear that this film would have to return some £23,550,000 for the combined media development fund and the shares in Pinewood to break even. So whilst we are delighted that a £2,500,000 profit on some of the Pinewood shares will be realised, we are sure that people will understand why we are not overly delighted about the results as a whole."
  7. The truth is that the MDF "investments" have failed to make any returns, in fact the last time I looked at the accounts the total write off to 2012 was approx £49 million, gone forever. What can't speak can't lie. MDF investments is about right. Isn't MDF the crappy flimsy stuff B&Q makes its economy wardrobes and bookshelves out of?
  8. Having at least passed a benchmark test of competency might make someone at least competent to handle a machine like a car even if they choose to break the law with it. This lad had not even passed his test so surely in terms of intent that is worse than someone who at least has the basic competency to operate a car deciding to do something reckless in it? Suppose if someone burst aboard the SeaCat and went to the bridge and started reversing it out of the harbour, would it be realistic to assume that they might well ram the pier and probably sink the boat? Equally someone else who did that same thing but who was actually a qualified Captain able to handle the ship might completely get away with it and successfully Captain the boat to Liverpool? This whole argument is absolute nonsense. Of course it is worse and more reckless to take control of something when you don't even have the basic skills or licenses required to take control of it.
  9. Unfortunately even as young drivers few of us took the wheel uninsured, without a valid license, and completely unsupervised so we are sure many don't actually relate to the sense of invincibility you claim comes with that. Neither would many of us, faced with such enormous proceedings against us, post inappropriate pictures on Facebook that might be interpreted (intentional or otherwise) as us taking the situation we were in lightly. The issue of dignity has been mentioned by the mother on Facebook, and by other posters here. Maybe this current generation has no idea how to conduct themselves with dignity, or decorum, or exhibit any degree of anything that might project to others the signs of remorse. We are in a 'me' culture where everything is focused on 'me' and my stupid worthless life as projected my 'me' and read by everyone else on social media. In that case a long sentence may just focus some people on what really is important in life. It won't be a picnic, but so what? Three years is not an eternity, which was the other sentence passed out on that day.
  10. You appear to be more than a bit obsessed with the fire brigade. Even if the fire brigade gave every new driver a big certificate to hang on the wall it would not make any difference to the road safety standards that apply in the island or to young driver deaths. This looks to have been a very irresponsible act by a group of people and one person in particular. It would be hard to see what impact a fire brigade presentation would have on the outcome. That Facebook post says it all really. There isn't really any need to comment further.
  11. Because I think being partnered with Pinewood and Peel is more likely to bring benefits than trying to grow our own stand alone film industry on our own. Even a small slice of what they do is worth having.Like I've said though, do think the money would be better spent here. Grow our own standalone film industry? This is, and never has been an 'industry', it was an offshore VAT structure that is now an onshore VAT structure. It has never been, and never will be, an industry that will generate significant employment for Manx people which you would expect from any other local industry. We have some magic beans we'd like to offer up for sale if you're interested if you are gullible enough to believe any of the above has anything to do with local job creation or creating an industry that might provide any financial stability for the people of the IOM.
  12. or hoping it will be luxury apartments for when the Port Erin marina is built Do you mean the Polaris submarine base disguised as the Port Erin Marina? But I've already said too much ...
  13. Mr Watterson will be well aware that this is ultimately earmarked to be a Masonic UFO listening centre under the front of a National Felt Museum. He has been fighting hard to have these plans turned down so that he and his elite clan of uber conservative Masonic lizard people in Tynwald can ensure that this development fulfils it's ultimate destiny.
