I’m so excited about this. The fabulous Steve Gibbons Band is coming back! I know everyone really enjoyed them last year and I had many people asking if I could persuade them to come back again. Well I have and they are! I’m not sure that it’s entirely down to my powers of persuasion or their love of the Isle of Man to be honest but I’m hugely grateful that they want to support us again. UPDATE! What an absolutely fabulous fun night we had! The Douglas Golf Club was brilliant and the audience was just..…..amazing. Thanks to His Excellency and Lady Lorimer who joined us and threw themselves into the spirit of the evening. I’m really lost for words ….the whole night was just such fun and a joy to organise raising a fantastic £1123. Such a shame more people couldn’t have been squished in to enjoy it! If you want to know what happened after Dave the WASP player says "have your meal and then....." make sure you get your tickets early next time! A first for the Rob Vine Fund …….a night of murder and mystery……A Murder Mystery Night! We’re always thinking of new ways to encourage you to support us, and with TT fast approaching we hope you like this. Saturday 22nd April, 7 for 7.30 at Douglas Golf Club. Tickets are just £25 to include a 2 course meal. And of course there’ll be a tombola with a prize or two. WASP will be performing for us and transporting us to the Costa del Sol - it promises to be a lot of fun working out who killed Mr Biff Wellington. Rebecca is an amazing blues-rock artist based in Birmingham. This is her first visit to the Isle of Man but I'm sure it won't be her last. Rebecca was voted Best Female Vocalist & Best Emerging Artist at the British Blues Awards 2016 and Female Blues Vocalist of the Year in the FORM UK Blues Awards 2018. She's bringing her 'Stripped Back' band to deliver her original music and a few classic covers in a relaxed, laid-back style as can be seen on YouTube here https://youtu.be/xqjW6go2sqs. Team Roundhay & Steve Gibbons Band have joined together to raise funds for… The Rob Vine Fund A voluntary charity providing medical & rescue care, equipment and training for doctors, paramedics and others involved in the TT and most motorsport on the Isle of Man. robvinefund.im We have a fantastic night lined up with: The Steve Gibbons Band Steve first came to prominence as the leader of The Uglys in the 1960s music scene. By the early 1970s he had formed the Steve Gibbons Band which enjoyed success in the singles charts and has been popular on the live circuit ever since. An inspired songwriter with a huge international following, Steve’s long career has encompassed 17 albums. Along the way he has worked and toured with many bands including The Who, Little Feat, Lynyrd Skynyrd and E.L.O. With a huge repertoire of original material to draw on, Steve’s set list is always fresh and surprising. In his hands rock & roll is a magical force. It’s a formula that works in venues as diverse as Ronnie Scott’s, Madison Square Garden or the Isle of Man TT Races and it’s a formula that has won him tremendous respect from fellow musicians.
