  1. Its certainly nothing special.

Something that might be special is the new Radiohead album. I had it on at work the other day, but had to turn it off. It is not work music. I reckon though, that after several portions of wine and stuff that its gonna be total bliss. Just need to find the time to get a little drunk...

  2. Mr Duckenfield, now 71, had claimed that after a large crowd built up outside the turnstiles at the Leppings Lane end of the stadium, Liverpool fans had broken in, causing a rush of people to flood into the fenced-in terraces.

But he now admits the crush occurred after he ordered an exit gate to be opened allowing 2,000 Liverpool fans to enter the stadium in just five minutes.

Mr Duckenfield said that, in the pressure of the day, he froze and did not consider the consequences of his actions.

"I think it's fair to say that it is arguably one of the biggest regrets of my life, that I did not foresee where fans would go when they came in through the gates," he said.

He also admitted to a "terrible lie". "Everybody knew the truth, the fans and police knew the truth that we'd opened the gates," he said.

    Cunt.

  3. Does this mean that planet x becomes planet ix, thanks to the disregarding of Pluto?

Maybe there was some truth in the old Sumerian texts that Zachariah wrote about.

    Do you mean Zecharia Sitchin?

I read one of his books, Genesis Revisted.

I won't be reading another one.

    Edit Added:

God Bless America - Independent movie from 2011 from weird comedian Bobcat Goldthwait that did no business. Stars nobody you will have heard of. Don't let any of that put you off. Last movie to really impress me. Film4 occasionally shows it after midnight; alternatively available from your local Torrent server. Deliciously dark. Thoroughly recommended. 8.5/10

Ah yeah, that's a fun movie. I'll recommend it too.

  5. I reckon bitcoin could be used by the media, newspapers and magazines especially, for micro payments on their websites.

The smallest amount you can currently send is 0.00005465btc or something, which is worth virtually nothing, but imagine you ran The Guardian and brought in a bitcoin paywall and charged 1 satoshi per article. Deposit the minimum with them and that is 5465 articles. Seems like nothing, and certainly to the reader it is nothing, but to the newspaper it would soon add up.

  6. No. Figured it was a bit late, and that as that number was posted over a year ago the lady might have moved jobs (a high probability if the job is as awful as reports of their delivery record are) she might not appreciate being called, so just thought I'd check before I go ahead and call it anyway.

  7. I see an Audi R8 crashed at the newly 'reprofiled' Keppel Gate today. It's on Manx.net's Facebook page.

Good. I hope they got dazzled by someone elses lights and couldn't see. Those cars have really fucking stupid really bright white horrible headlights.

  8. It's very possible that I'm being a bit thick but can someone explain the figure from this article http://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/business/manx-government-sells-pinewood-shares-at-a-profit-1-7185485

It says "The sale, yielding a total return of £7.6m, cuts the Manx government holding in the film studios from 9.9 per cent to 4.99 per cent but it still holds shares valued at around £10.7m." but if it has sold half for £7.6m how can the remaining half be worth £10.7m?

Could it be, I wonder, that the Department is fully aware of what happened, and why, and that the person/persons responsible have been appropriately disciplined/dismissed but that they do not wish to make this public?

I think that should be something a Minister should make a public statement on. The comments of the judge in this instance are quite clear, the response by the department is, however, not clear at all other than it offering condolences. The judge suggests computer records were wiped and the department has not commented on that aspect whatsoever. At the moment it's very clear how the public are reading this, therefore someone from IOMG should be stating the departments position clearly in respect of how it dealt with the fact that records were erased according to the statement issued by the Court - and what disciplinary action was taken (if any). Otherwise, well, the public are just going to assume one version of events aren't they?

There is only one version that can be reasonably assumed. The records were deliberately deleted.

  10.

This stinks, they make sure police cells have no things that the scum can hang themselves from and in the prison too. Yet a person suffering from mental health problems seems, in this departments view, to not to be worthy of similar care and protection.

I think you'll find a fair proportion of the people who end up in a police cell are later found to be suffering mental disorders, but don't let facts like that cloud your bigoted viewpoint.

What bigoted viewpoint? I don't think you've read that post correctly.
