John, a lovely area to have been brought up in. I spent my childhood in Southport. My memories are of a store on Lord Street in the 1950s. It was still there in the mid '60s. We had Czechoslovakian family friends visit us. I took them into Booths & they burst into tears (they were a couple in their 60s). They said that it had brought back memories of the shops in pre-war Prague.
