  1. Ah Kate is too Busy running her Homecare empire to even care whats going on in government anymore ..... just think how much of the prom could have been done with all that tarmac, all they needed to do was remove one of the horse tram tracks completely from the prom, move the remaining one to the centre of the road and just lift the old tarmac and lay fresh tarmac then they can not worry about the prom for another 40 years

...but since the contracts have been torn up for the Prom job think Colas hit them for the 'Loss of potential earning clause' as they have been stockpiling product in preparation to resurface the whole prom so have laid out big money for No return ....

  2. just a little food for thought.....

Steam Racket from Douglas to Liverpool - a distance of 82 miles for £33.25, equates to about 40p per mile.

Manchester to New York via US Airlines - a distance of 3334 miles for £139, equates to about 4p per mile.

Catching the bus from Douglas Town Hall to the Rosemount - less than half a mile for 90p, equates to about £2.40 per mile.

Some people would like to have the Government run the IoM Steam Racket, well if they would run that the way they run the buses, you'll be swimming.

  3. when Port Soderick finally goes for apartments. Only then will the taxpayer be asked to stump up the cost for other peoples benefit.

I have been informed that Port Soderick is now in the hands of the Islands most loved building developer <_< and is currently being allowed to fall in to disrepair to aid in the hurried demolition of the current property,

source:- a prospective buyer of said property who lost out during the private auction

    edited for stupidity

  4. I think it looks ok except for the access road to the car park. That'll cause problems for people approaching from the South and trying to cross over.

Commonsense would to be to drive all the way around the Ovalabout and then turn off in to the carpark from the south bound lane, or is that to easy
