Rhumsaa
Get down shoprite tomorrow and buy a tin of Quality Street I have deliberately avoided any chocs in the house - no temptation Yeah your talking my language, get down the shops and buy loads of choccy, might be going cheap now ? Why no chocs ? I'm not a huge choc person to be honest..... if they are there I'll eat them but I rarely crave them..... cake is a different matter! 2orangey4crows
Yummy cakes ! I'm quite bad when it comes to chocolate, sometimes I get a headache and I know chocolate is the only thing that will shift it. Maybe it's a mind thing....... me saying it's ok to have it ! Rhumsaa
I like the idea of a bit of syrup/sugar to get the caramelised action going on

Minxie
We had a lovely big turkey with all the usual trimmings. Tonight I'm doing a big roast ham with roast potatoes, peas and gravy, then tomorrow will make a jambalaya with all the left over turkey and ham yum yum. girl89
We also had starters! Some had prawns in sauce and others had some honeydew melon. Then we had the usual turkey, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, vegetables, pigs in blankets (our family favourite!) etc. Next was pudding. Of course we had Xmas pudding! But some of us didn't like it so we had this LOVELY sticky toffee pudding thing. Then ate chocs over the rest of the night That's what christmas day is all about, eating hehe
TheScope
Prawn cocktail starters, the traditional christmas dinner (turkey, ham, all the veg) and a ridiculously alocholic christmas pud with brandy cream for afters. I was more hammered on dessert than I was on anything I was drinking
