Phones are still just cutting out entirely.

The lack of communication is awful. They didn't even confirm the cancellation of my sailing until half 2 today. Luckily I'd seen earlier, but the phones are just cutting out entirely whenever you try to ring and there's nothing via email or Facebook either. Not a clue how I'm getting home. Judging by their Facebook and the media reports, I'm not the only one stuck either.

They've been impossible to get hold of today. Very disappointed, but not surprised. I need to be home for work and a medical appointment on Wednesday, but it's not looking likely as I've heard naught at all despite ringing, emailing and Facebook-ing. Here's hoping tomorrow's better.

Hello all, I'm currently preparing my dissertation and was hoping that a few of you (or more, more would be nice) would be able to give me some of your opinions on the current political system on the Island. I know there's both a lot of knowledge of local politics and a wide range of views on these forums which would be highly useful to my conclusions. The questions are quite open, but there's only 7 and you can write as much or as little as you like. I've still not managed to spot any of you

Watched Donnie Darko last night (for the umpteenth time), one i really enjoy, but it does drag a bit in places and as my charming friend did point out there's "Too much talking" for those more inclined towards special effects and things going boom. Elfin Leid is another i've watched recently (not really a film, but when you watch all episodes in one it's pretty much there), and is a firm favorite of mine, though not for the squeamish.
