  1. I wasn't a fan of Nick Cage in kick ass. he was ok playing the father role but the Batman impression was terrible. and Aye it's bang wrong to be aroused by Hit Girl. Give it ten years before you start thinking about that sort of shit yeah. Went to see Toy Story 3 on Monday. Brilliant, the Pixar guys really are masters of their work. Not sure whether I'd welcome a 4th outing, as it might start to get quite over kill but if they do go for it (Tim Allen rumoured to be signed up for another one) I'm sure it'll be great too.
  2. Watched Valentines Day with the missus the other night. I've no one else to blame but myself.
  3. I think we've seen different versions of this film. The one I saw featured mega-graphic torture porn. I agree with Bozz.
  4. I think if you can do hostel and the Saw series you'll be grand with things like Haute Tension and Frontieres. The Ordeal is more of a psychological one than a gory horror. There's a few disturbinig scenes like but it's not the eyes being burnt out graphic imagery of Hostel. It's really just Martyrs and Inside that are the gruesome ones (though my missus tells me Private Pracise has a storyline very similar to Inside so maybe it's not that bad) Mo, I've got the lot (not grotesque like) so if you ever want to try them out let me know and I can either drop them up or come down and we'll have a couple of beers and watch some nazi cannibals go at some french kids
  5. If you're up for a challenge and can find a copy of it try Grotesque from Japan. Banned in the UK. Seriously NSFW. The J-Horror is definatley turned up to 11 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3U8Gvf6w_s
  6. haha aye Martyrs is quite a horrific film. Some other French films have come close but I still think Martyrs is the worst/best whichever way you look at it.
  7. Watched Hot Tub Time Machine. not bad, quite funny in places, not really something I'd associate with John Cusack doing. Off to check out the Elm St. reboot on Wednesday.
  8. Tried watching Nine last night. If anyone has seen it can you let me know what in christs name was going on? I think Though they could've explained that a bit better.
  9. It would've been nice if he escaped but that would've opened up a sequal for the horrible hollywood lot, so in a way I'm glad it ended the way it did.
  10. hahah absolutely loved it because It was alright, fair enough twist at the end and Pierce Brosnan was a brilliant Bastard. Cinema was filled with teary eyed teenagers and women in their 50's who should know better. Watched Law Abiding Citazen last night. Brilliant performances from Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx. Packed with second guessing characters, ace ways of killing people, Jigsaw would be proud. 8/10
  11. Twonky: what did you make of Martyrs after watching Inside? Frontiers is good but I found martyrs and inside a bit harder-core. Watched Remember Me at the villa the other night. Not bad, your usual plod along Whicker Park / Vanilla Sky / Requiem For a Dream type alt-fashionable film. It has your man from Twilight in it, Eddie Munsters older hollywood brother. Bit of an interesting twist right right at the end, which made sure there were a few damp eyes. But I felt with a bit more thought it could've cut the first 40 mins down to 15 or 20 and concentrated on the last 20 ish minutes more. 5/10 all in all.... actually 3/10 I forgot they ruined a perfectly good sigur ros song with a sex scene... no tit 2/10 500 Days of Summer. This was more enjoyable, though Zooey Dechanel can't really act that well. The kid from 3rd From The Sun was very good in it. No twists, no turns, no last minute shockers, just an easy to watch little use of brain film. Ace soundtrack to it. Finally saw What Happened in Vegas last night. This was quite funny and prolonged my enjoyment of Cameron Diaz' face.
  12. Aye Foot soldier is an ace film. Not one for the birds hahaha. Speaking of which I watched The Women the other night. It was alright funny in parts but you definately need overies to appreciate it Also watched Anvil again, came close to tears.... again.
  13. Rise of the Footsoldier is a great film. Spirited Way is very good but I prefer 5 cm per second The artwork in it is fantastic.
  14. I've been told they miss a lot out of the book. For example he keeps both his legs.
  15. Nice, I've been meaning to watch Precious.. When is the DVD release? Watched Time Travellers Wife over the weekend. If it had any attempt at making sense I may have started my period. Unfortunately it was a bad interpretation of a good book, only made to scrape in a few pennies from the overy brigade who found The Notebook and My Sisters Keeper remotely entertianing. Saying that My other half loves the Notebook and My Sisters Keeper and thought this was pish. Watched Casino Royale again last night. Great film, great action, made me want to be stupidly rich.
