Very easy to get spares for most older vehicles. The Austin Allegro has the same suspension set-up as the Austin 7 (mini) and the Austin Maxi, hydro-elastic I think it's called. You hit a bump and, as the front shocker goes up, the rear goes down, keeping the car level. A very efficient system based on the science of hydrology.
