  1. He did, it was one of ours, I said he did it last Friday! At least I know what we'll get billed now. I think that's quite reasonably.
  2. The side glass is just bonded on, so they just ran a knife round it and the re-glued it back on.
  3. Aha, a colleague locked the keys in a 2005 fiesta on friday. If yours is a 3 door?? we got National windscreens to remove back, side window glass, unlock car, reseal back window, job done. We haven't had the bill yet though. Didn't take him many minutes.
  4. I came back on the PM sailing on Monday and that didn't have so much freight. Lots of cars and passengers though.
  5. Yep, I went over on Friday evening and the bottom deck was virtually full of freight. There was way more than 20 cars though. Most times I go on the Ben it's on the Friday evening sailing and it's always been busy with freight and cars/passengers.
  6. Only because they don't make much sense. Most reasonable people expect to see additional charges applied at peak times. Pretty basic really. FFS! I'm not just talking about peak times. I'm talking about all year round. My Xmas crossing was just an example. BOOK EARLY Booking 3 months ahead is fairly early.
  7. Essentially, you are suggesting the SPCO operate some kind of barter system. they tell you need they need £300 to caryr you at Christmas, you offer £200, you settle on £250 cos the SPCO knew in September that not all the places will have sold by mid-December, and the multi-million operation would be safer with the extra 250 quid in the bank already? I'm going to try that at Tesco. What! I'm not suggesting any kind of bartering system. I'm obviously not suggesting £200 is hugely important to the SP. It's how many lots of £200 that's important. I'm saying I'd travel over more often if the prices weren't so high and I think others may do also. The cumulative extra money that reasonable pricing might pull in could be significant. Is me posting my views upsetting you for some reason? Is this how Easyjet work. Maybe they think your a bad risk. Ive just checked with IOMSP for same dates. 6.5mt motorhiome plus 2 return £212 Hello, I've just checked again and at the times I would need to sail on those two dates, one person and a standard car, the cost is £300.50

  10. Those prices probably give an indication that on those two days the boat is fairly full. It may come as a surprise to you but the airfaires are fairly high around those dates as well I'm going across on the 24th to the 29th of December, I'd much prefer to take a car but the SP want £300. Manx2 want £160. So I'm flying. A real nuisance not having a car, but I can't bring myself to pay the extra £140. The SP have got to be losing customers with their pricing policies. How much are the Taxis charging on the 24th on the IOM,UK Train Prices are also high on these dates, maybe its a Holiday period. Do you not think that the SP may have extra costs over the Xmas, what happens to the crews, do they stay on the boat Xmas day for fuck all. But you're missing the point, if they charged £200 I would have booked with SP, because they want £300 they're getting nothing. They would have had my money since September, I've just checked today, there are still places available now. They're sailing anyway so they'd be better off with my £200 than with nothing. Can you really argue with this. I'm one person that would sail more often if the prices were reasonable. I can't believe I'm the only one.
