nipper
I was recently asked about the Isle of Man Police bugging scandal. I was more or less on top of all this when it was in the news but that was 3 or 4 years ago. There's plenty on the internet, and even a wiki article. But where is this matter just now? Plenty of police have been retired or otherwise over the past few years and I wonder if this is going to be a typical "Oh that was a long time ago now, the people concerned are either in the sun or dead now". Followed by "let's move on"....."Draw a line under that one"...etc. There are two bugging scandals as I understand, the senior policeman who had his home phone line tapped and the police, bugging one of their interview rooms used for private conversations between lawyers and their clients. Is it time for me to move on too?
