Roger Mexico
DASH has more signatories to its e-petition than that already...and happily there's to be an emergency question (debate) in Keys on it next week. Do we know who's had the balls good sense to raise the issue. Houghton. It's rather odd because it's not a normal question for oral or written answer, but a: QUESTION OF URGENT PUBLIC IMPORTANCE TO: THE CHIEF MINISTER What immediate action he will take to avoid the imminent closure of the Drug Advice Service and Helpline (DASH) and to provide alternative funding to maintain this charity's proven and vital commitment to continue to effectively support those in our community affected by drugs in the future? I assume this is because normal questions have to be submitted 8 days before the sitting and this is only dated yesterday, but I'm not sure when that means it will be taken in the sitting. Of course it may be that it is not discussed at all if the Keys decide not to or it gets lost if oral questions go over the time limit (there's already 15 - more than usual). Though if the Keys don't vote to extend the time it will be fairly outrageous as there isn't much more in the session.
Donald Trumps
Very interesting comment from CM on MTTV He appears keen for directly elected LegCo but acknowledges that the vested interests within will oppose & therefore sees intervention of exterior body of some sort forthcoming. Wonder what he has in mind? http://www.manx.net/tv/mt-tv/watch/53819/chief-minister-mlc-elections
