Essex Girl
We have used this guy a number of times and found him to be reliable, good value, clean and professional: Window Doctor Tel: 07624 474745 Sealed Units Hinges & Locks Letter Boxes Broken Handles Patio Door Wheels Misted Glass
Addie
We used Pheonix Windows to replace a 'milky' glazed panel. Good price as I recall.
Overdose
Also used Pheonix Windows to replace an opaque unit in the utility room, quick, hassle free and reasonably priced too.
Pierrot Lunaire
Thanks for the replies, but neither Phoenix* nor Window Doctor are glass suppliers are they? I'm sure they'd just send away to the mainland for units. Which I am more than capable of doing myself. *Note order of letters in this particular diphthong.
Headly
PL, Try Sash Windows ( 827456 ) down at Balthane Ind Est, I'm sure they are the ones who made new glass panels for my Brothers conservatory. No I don't work for them etc etc.
Addie
Typo aside, they measured one day, made it and fitted the replacement glass unit the next morning.
dave1978
He has asked quite clearly (twice) for glass suppliers rather than a company to do the job.
Yin & Yang
Regal aluminum in snugborough sorted out a huge double glazed unit and the price was about £100. They were the cheapest I found over here!
mojomonkey
Do you mean the whole plastic unit or just the glass? Changing the glass in double glazing is very easy.
Monkey boy
Thanks for the replies, but neither Phoenix* nor Window Doctor are glass suppliers are they? Phoenix certainly make frames & cut glass etc. at their factory in Ramsey, I'm sure they probably make the units as well. Where is this mainland you speak of anyway? irishwasa
I've previously bought glazing units only from manx glass and glazing at Snugborough. Just give them the sizes, including glass and void thickness. Always been good.
Smit
Today in the UK, many companies offer their services for the restoration of windows, in a house or apartment. They have vast experience and work of any complexity and volume. It will be easier to trust them, you just have to pay the money.
