Marc Riley announced it on 6music a short while ago, as a former band member he sounded understandably shaken. The Fall were the first proper band I saw live, Newcastle Student Union 1993. Me, in the kitchen: "oh yeah! Wasn't he in The Fall..?" Mrs Q: "Nah, says he'd been bad for a while." He was great as the Jesus character in 'Ideal.'
