marcus
I can't help noticing how words and phrases are changing. Once upon a time we were happy with.... Arthur Cox....'Haulage contractor'. ...and then all of a sudden its....'Cox Logistics'. I jest not when i saw a crummy van with the words....'Bespoke window cleaning contractors'. How many times have we been invited to view....'our exciting contempory range of furnishings' In the nursing arena we used to have patients, then clients, followed by customers to the present....service users. Anyone any more?
Declan
Service User is so bloody impersonal. Clients is nice clients, makeing the person seem like an individual rather than the mass consumer that is a customer. Patients has the benefit of acurately describing what a person is. Lonan3
A slight inclination of the cranium is as adequate as a spasmodic movement of a single optic to an equine quadruped devoid of it's visionary capacities (A nod's as good as a wink to a blind horse). Some people are dumb enough to think using big words makes them sound clever!
