But on the Isle of Man it is very exciting when you see someone you know and if you are in a car you can proclaim your excitement by toot toot tooting the horn. That way you just annoy say, fifty people but if you say "Hiya" on a forum that is potentially broadcast to the whole world, except maybe a Tibetan mountain or something. And if an Everest mountaineer had a Backberry thing and the satellite signal was good he could give it to a Tibetan Monk who at least in theory could then log on to manxforums MF spotting topic and that way you can annoy everybody, and I mean everybody.
