Recommended Posts

Hey all, i recently got halfway through my Cisco CCNA at the college before the summer term started, and I'm looking for some routers, switches and stuff which i can use to practice on.

Just thought that maybe some of you may have studied a Cisco course at the college before and have the hardware left over which you had practiced on.

Contact through PM or text 222293.

Cheers,

Martin

Û° network simulation software available for IT professionals seeking °Û

Û° CCNA certification. NetSim's Virtual Packet Technology sets it apart °Û

Û° because it actually emulates the functions of a real network - a real °Û

Û° network that you can design yourself. °Û

Û° °Û

Û° Boson NetSim Offers: °Û

Û° °Û

Û° - Hands-on experience without the hardware °Û

Û° - A Network Designer that supports 47 different router and switch °Û

Û° types °Û

Û° - Up to 200 devices per network °Û

Û° - Virtual Packet Technology: software-created packets that are routed °Û

Û° and switched through the simulated network °Û

Û° - Ability to populate the WAN slots with a broad range of Network °Û

Û° Modules °Û

Û° - A telnet interface that allows you to configure the devices using °Û

Û° your favorite telnet program °Û

Û° - Functionality of a full rack of equipment on your laptop °Û

Û° - Automatic lab-grading capability °Û

Û° - Ability to load and save your network configurations °Û

Û° - Ability to paste real router configs into the devices °Û

Û° - Ability to configure your own ISDN and Frame Relay switch mappings °Û

Û° - Benefit of connecting your devices over simulated WANs without °Û

Û° expensive ISP gear °Û

Û° °Û

Û° The NetSim for CCNA product contains CCNA-specific lab exercises that °Û

Û° comprehensively cover the skill set you will need in order to pass °Û

Û° your CCNA exam. But NetSim's value doesn't end there. You can °Û

Û° design your own network with up to 200 devices. Currently, over 40 °Û

Û° different Cisco router models are supported, with more being added °Û

Û° all the time. Three Catalyst models are available as well.

Bosun looks fantastic...but it ain't cheap.

I'm in the middle (well more like 33%) of the way through my CCNP, I could do with a copy but it's about £500......and the *ahem* "free" copies out there don't seem to work.
